The creative mind

Had a great talk today with a client about creativity. After mourning over the good old times where the Internet was a real playground, and not a big shopping mall like today, we agreed that creativity is a necessity for survival, not only in a business sense, but also on a personal level.

Creativity involves so many skills that just cannot be reduced to artistic practice. Even problem-solving concepts or coping with limited resources can be the trigger to be creative.

Most important is to leave your familiar mind sets behind. Try to think about routines for example from a different angle. Does the thing you do right know always needs to be this way? Are there other ways to do it? Or what would happen if you just wouldn’t do it? Or do it with closed eyes … stay save!
